Jaguar Temple
Artist: Jesús Verdhe
Area: Holistika Art Walk

Jaguar Temple is a sculptural intervention by Jesús Verdhe, created in 2025 within the jungle at Holistika. Painted in black and shades of stone, it takes the language of Mayan symbols and turns a flat wall into what looks like carved rock.
The centre opens as a doorway: a warm terracotta passage framed by spirals and stepped forms, the kind of geometry found in ancient façades. Nothing here is sculpted — every depth, shadow and edge is painted, so the wall reads as a temple fragment left standing among the palms.
Standing in front of it, the piece behaves like a portal: an invitation to cross from the path you are walking into another state, the seen and the unseen sitting on the same surface.
