Marakame is one of the most visually vibrant structures in the Holistika Art Walk.
Before its current image, this wall already had a first life. The structure was originally designed by Mexican artist Curiot, after a production question opened a new possibility for the Art Walk: if Holistika could build its own walls, why keep making only flat surfaces? From that idea, the wall became more than a wall. Stairs, curves, openings and sculptural forms turned it into a place that could be entered, climbed, photographed and experienced.
Years later, Brothers of Light gave the structure a new visual life. Their refresh transformed the space with desert colors, geometric patterns, cactus forms, vessels and symbols inspired by a first journey through Mexico.
Today, Marakame feels like a meeting point between jungle and desert: a bright, playful and ceremonial structure where color becomes movement, memory and invitation.
What to notice: the stairs, curves and openings that make this more than a flat mural; the way the structure invites people to enter, climb and become part of the image; the contrast between the jungle around you and the desert symbols painted on the wall; the cactus forms, vessels and geometric patterns; the two lives of the structure, first designed by Curiot, later reawakened by Brothers of Light.
