Temple
Artist: Ramsteko
Area: La Veleta, Tulum
Year: 2025
Created in La Veleta during Horizontes Mexicanos, the first festival dedicated to Mexican artists in Tulum, “Temple” was inspired by an intense night when the moon shone so brightly it felt like a rising sun over the sea.
Ramsteko transforms that memory into a quiet, dreamlike scene: a horse facing the horizon, the ocean glowing and the moon suspended between night and dawn.
Ramsteko is a Mexican artist whose visual language often blends nature, memory and surreal moments. In this mural, his work brings a poetic and contemplative presence to the streets of La Veleta.
Horizontes Mexicanos was created as the first festival in Tulum dedicated to Mexican artists. Produced through a collaboration between Tulum Art Club and Artery, the project brought contemporary Mexican voices into public space and helped create a lasting mural legacy across La Veleta.
